Zach Poulter

Zach Poulter is a writer, musician, and educator. His award-winning novelette “Shell Game” was recently published as part of the Writers of the Future anthology volume 42. His sci-fi novelette “Imprint” is in the current (May/June) issue of Analog magazine. He is represented by Joshua Bilmes of Jabberwocky Literary. His debut novel is currently on submission.
Zach previously published a nonfiction teachers’ guide/college text with the National Association for Music Education entitled Teaching Improvisation in Your Jazz Ensemble: A Complete Guide for Music Educators.
As a musician, Zach is a published composer, a middle school band director, and a freelance woodwind artist specializing in saxophone. Some of his favorite groups to perform with include the Salt Lake City Jazz Orchestra, Night Star Jazz Orchestra, Crosstown Big Band, and the Utah Symphony.
