Book Life Editors pick review:

“In Meidell’s charming picture book for young children, different kinds of animals, all bursting with character, find ways to care for and show affection to their young throughout the day. The story centers on the antics of a human family as they go hiking, run through fields, and play on the beach. While they swim, eat, and explore, a host of different species are shown—in Meidell’s lively, action-packed, often hilarious watercolors—alongside the people, including a bear with her cubs, a chicken with her chicks, and some energetic mountain goats climbing cliffs. In this way, the book highlights the adventurous nature of parenting and family life as well as the similarities between people and animals.”

Sherry has had a full and active life outside of her art career, participating fully in church and community activities, camping, hiking, running marathons, road and mountain biking, and being fully invested in being a wife and mother, raising a family of five boys, and being a grandmother.
