Candace Fleming

Candace Fleming is the author of more than forty books. Among her nonfiction titles are Enigma Girls, The Family Romanov and Honeybee, winner of the 2021 Sibert medal. Her 2025 title, Death in the Jungle, garnered eight starred reviews, was named a Kirkus Prize finalist and won the Boston Globe Horn Book Award for Nonfiction, the third time she has won this prestigious honor.  Additionally, she is also the recipient of the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, the Orbis Pictus Award, the YALSA Excellence in Nonfiction Award, and a four-time recipient of ALA Sibert Honor.
