Service Description

Workshop Information: In this class we'll learn how to leave your readers breathless, and how to write a novel that leave readers forever changed. Even those who have written a book already can benefit from taking a hard look at the structure of their stories—taking apart the skeleton to see what bones might be missing. For those who are just starting, this is a great place to make sure you’re on the right path before you invest too much time in the prose. Class will overflow with practical tips and tricks for story structure as we work on the first 2000 words of your novel. We’ll go over how to make your beginning powerful, how to keep the middle from sagging, and what kind of punch readers like in endings. We’ll check out a few plotting structures to inspire you to find those spots where your story will shine even brighter. We’ll also dissect popular novels to discover how they tick, look at markets, and create pitches and synopses.
